Brent Birnbaum

Le travail de Brent Birnbaum commence par l’exploration du monde à la recherche d’objets trouvés qui n’ont pas été utilisés dans un contexte artistique et qui contiennent le potentiel d’être manipulés en quelque chose de nouveau et de puissant. Il s’efforce de surprendre et de captiver le spectateur en élargissant le dialogue sur l’art contemporain. La familiarité de ses matériaux rend ses œuvres accessibles à un large public, tout comme l’humour qu’elles contiennent. Birnbaum se lance dans des projets qui le mettent au défi mentalement et physiquement en collectant une quantité difficile ou un matériau absurde. Inspiré à la fois par l’histoire de l’art et les matériaux prêts à l’emploi, il est en quête de trouver et de créer les angles invisibles de la vie.
