Contemporary Art Gallery

Galerie PJ was founded in 2020 by Jisun and Pierre, who grew up in two different cultural backgrounds, Korean and French.

In the world of contemporary art, their distinct tastes and knowledge come together to open up new perspectives. Through this exchange and intersection of viewpoints, Galerie PJ seeks to discover fundamental forms of newness within contemporary art.

The newness Galerie PJ seeks goes beyond the subjects addressed in artworks. It also lies in the distinctive ways artists develop and express their ideas, as well as in the individuals behind these expressions. As art is a creation born of human experience, each work reflects, in its own way, the experiences, perspectives, sensibilities, and thoughts of its creator.

Galerie PJ places great importance on engaging with artists and developing a deeper understanding of their practices. It seeks to understand the unique language of each work and convey its possibilities to the public.

Guided by this approach, Galerie PJ operates two exhibition spaces. Lost PJ, located within the gallery, is dedicated to experimental and forward-thinking artistic practices, exploring a central question: “Where do the boundaries of contemporary art lie?”

Each space has its own identity and direction. Through colour, form, material, and ideas, Galerie PJ seeks to reveal new facets of contemporary art through the singularity of each work.

Galerie PJ considers it essential to recognise the value of art and foster dialogue between artists, artworks, and the public.

Continuing this approach, Galerie PJ plans to expand its activities to Paris in 2027, carrying forward the same philosophy and continuing its exploration of the possibilities of contemporary art.
