Stephen Swindells
2000년대 초반부터 Stephen Swindells는 다양한 예술가들과 협업을 해왔으며, 그 중 Dutton-Swindells 협업은 북미, 아시아, 유럽에서 여러 전시를 열었습니다. 2008년에는 영국 예술 위원회(Arts Council UK)의 지원을 받아 한국 서울에서 3개월간의 레지던시를 진행했습니다. 2011년에는 그 듀오가 권위 있는 Northern Arts Prize의 후보에 올랐습니다. 또한, Barber-Swindells 협업은 두 개의 공공 예술 프로젝트를 이끌어냈고, 이는 영국 예술 위원회의 지원을 받아 Mining Couture: a manifesto for common wear (Black Dog Press, 2012)의 출판으로 이어졌습니다.
2012년부터 2017년까지 Stephen Swindells는 글쓰기, 연구, 그리고 문화 리더십 및 예술에 대한 공적 참여를 위한 자문에 집중했습니다. 그는 2004년에 예술적 실천에 관한 박사 학위를 취득했으며, 그 연구에서는 예술과 시민권 사이의 관계를 탐구했습니다. 그와 함께, 1992년부터 2017년까지 그는 리즈 대학교, 셰필드 대학교, 오픈 대학교, 허더즈필드 대학교에서 미술 실기와 미술사를 전임 교수로 가르쳤습니다.
