T.J. Dedeaux-Norris
미국 아티스트 T.J. Dedeaux-Norris는 페인팅, 섬유, 퍼포먼스, 비디오 그리고 음악을 통하여 집단적 정체성과 개별적 정체성의 상호 형성에 관해 탐구하고 있으며 특히 시간에 따른 인종, 성별, 계급 사회화의 신체적인 영향에 초첨을 두고 있다. 이 작품들의 형식과 내용 모두 자아와 타인의 구분에 대한 철학적 탐구를 암시하고 있으며 물리적인 신체는 사회의 축소판 이며 관찰하고 질문을 던져 추론을 하고있다. 모든 것이 불안전 하기 때문이다. 이 구체화된 실천안에서 치유는 그 자체의 매개체가 된다 : 다양한 양식 안에서의 신체적 정신적인 끊임없는 실험은 드노 노리스(Dedeaux-Norris)의 작업에 텍스쳐를 부여하고, 새로운 질문을 던질 수 있게 하며 우리가 우리 자신 안에서 혹은 우리의 가족 이야기 안에서 답을 찾을 수게 한다. Dedeaux-Norris는 랩퍼이자 컨템포러리 예술가, 성노동자, 대학 교수, 가출자 그리고 어머니를 간병하는 사람으로서 겉보기에는 상반되는 과거와 현재에서 생겨나는 필요적으로 발생하는 차이를 강조하며 이를 조화롭게 시키고자 하고 있다.
