The Charmix series invites us to reflect on the nature of our desires and material possessions. Indeed, the small objects present on the canvases of the Charmix series are light, colorful and shiny, offering a fleeting visual pleasure.

Ultimately, these objects arouse an immediate and profound desire, never satisfied. They represent a form of temporary escape from the reality of life.

Charmix celebrates a certain relative beauty by inviting us to recall redundant childhood memories. Charmix reminds us that these fantastical worlds offer an escape from reality, a way for some to connect to a form of imagination and creativity.

But Charmix also invites us to reflect on the ephemeral and superficial nature of our possessions, our material desires and our consumption. Behind the flat surface of the canvas, beyond the shiny world of these consumer objects, can hide a true inner richness. Precious memories and experiences can then appear, outside and inside any consumerist system. Charmix reminds us that the things we cherish the most are often intangible and volatile. The true value of life could be found in the relationship, experience and emotion that we share with others and the world around us.

Charmix is a series that invites us to reflect on our relationship with consumer objects, on the nature of our desires and on what gives value to our lives.

– In the middle of this catalogue, the artist gives us some indications on his main sources of inspiration, namely the Greek myth of the Apple of Eris and the Little Prince by Saint-Exupéry.
