Reversing our vision of the world in reference to the interaction of yin and yang (음양): this is the proposal of the photographer Daesoo Kim that we present at the PJ gallery.
The image constructed by the work of the negative in the darkroom results from the reduction-inversion of apparent physical data (inversions of light values) and produces this particular effect: the inverted image.
The wooded landscape (plant sample) often wintry suggests, awakens, soothes, shelters and torments, both the imagination and the thought.
In the photographs of Daesoo Kim presented here, the light vibrates, never falls asleep. It appears and reveals in relief a shadowed reflection.
Between two branches stands out a sparkling half-moon. The transparency of the bark is revealed. A tree that looks like a sleeping willow appears; also emerges a multitude of deciduous forests. Here we are under the influence of trees with late foliage.
Round shape, hollow stem, flexible resistance, rectilinear silhouette, (man straightener, 선비정신), here we are projected into a dense bamboo forest, announcing the deciduous bamboo forest.
Nature becomes a subject, a subject that interacts with man.
