Duo show : Una Ursprung, Shinpei Okawa
Bringing together Una Ursprung and Shinpei Okawa, this project explores how memory, time, and identity are constructed from fragments. Although their artistic practices differ, both
artists investigate what remains between appearance and disappearance.
Shinpei Okawa’s paintings weave together personal memories, cultural references, and mental landscapes in compositions where past and present coexist. Una Ursprung’s works,
meanwhile, emerge through processes of painting, cutting, and collage that convey an experience of time shaped by interruptions and intervals.
For both artists, the fragment is not a form of loss but a mode of reconstruction : a way of bringing forth presences, narratives, and inner landscapes that are constantly in the process of becoming.
