SONG Jeehye
Jeehye Song, born in 1991 in Seoul, lives and works in Düsseldorf. She graduated from the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in 2021 and previously studied art in Seoul. She has received several awards, including the Friedrich-Vordemberge-Stipendium für Bildende Kunst (2022), the Eb-Dietzsch-Kunstpreis (2024), and a Rundstedt Graduation Scholarship (2022), and has been a finalist for awards such as the Paula Modersohn-Becker Kunstpreis (2024) and the Kunstpreis Junger Westen (2019). Her work is included in the public collections of the PARK SEOBO Foundation (South Korea) and Sparkasse Gera (Germany). Her paintings are a true testimony to her emotions and everyday impressions. In her own words, she seeks to “make the ordinary special, and the special ordinary,” her work akin to keeping a personal diary.
