Michel Thein

First works of etching in the 80’s (dry point and sometimes burin) then later works on canvas. He is currently working on the “planographie” series.

planography : random open space afocal

space: “planography” of time turned into space

random: not defined in advance (random effect)

            open: elimination of the subject

afocal: optical system whose focal points are rejected to infinity, action on the field of perception of the canvas.

Use of the square as a monogram and the colour medium as an element of “mass”.
