Rare in antiquity, sacred in the Middle Ages, and revolutionized by the discovery of new pigments, it has established itself as an essential hue in painting, from Titian to Monet, from Hokusai to Yves Klein.
With “Bleu [blø]”, Galerie PJ presents a contemporary exploration of this elusive color.
Five international artists offer their interpretation of blue in nature, navigating between figuration and abstraction. This exhibition resonates with the enduring presence of blue in our collective imagination and our relationship with the natural world, oscillating between memory and transformation.
